Winning Independent Movie Chosen that Features the Porsche 911

The 2012 Porsche 911 is sometimes known for having a dual personality. The new Porsche is both a family-friendly coupe that's great for daily commuting, and exceptional at tearing long stretches of highway.  In other words, it's a practical supercar.

Porsche knew that its advertising for this year's 911 had to be special because it had to embody all of the 911's wonderful qualities. So, the company called for independent filmmakers to submit ads (a minute and thirty seconds long each) into its "Porsche: My Daily Magic" film contest. Three finalists were chosen: Kristina Woo, Rod Guajardo, and Michael Koerbeland, with Koerbeland being the winner. He received a free one-year lease for the new 911, as well as a nationwide screening of the ad in Landmark theatres and on the Reelz Channels. Koerbeland's advertisement, "It's a Magical Life" shows the stages of a couple's life as they close the trunk on all of their many memories. Once they have a son, his memories are featured as well, and at the end of the film, his dad throws him the keys to the Porsche.
